In a given year, the Chamber typically plays host to more than 150 different events, programs and committee meetings. The Chamber’s full and part-time staff is responsible for event coordination, the day to day operations of the Chamber and for administering and implementing the policies and direction of the Board.

Chad Amond was
appointed as President of the Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce in January of
2005. Under his leadership, the Chamber represents nearly 650 companies in
Monroeville and throughout the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. The organization
is dedicated to supporting, encouraging and advancing responsible business
development by providing a number of member benefits including advocacy for
business-friendly legislation and by providing a forum for professional
relationship building. In his role as the Chamber's Chief Executive, Mr. Amond
is responsible for implementing the organization's program of action,
identifying opportunities to increase membership value, managing day-to-day
business operations and serving as the organizations principal communicator.
Previously, he served as Communications and Marketing Director at Forbes
Regional Hospital in Monroeville PA, as Vice President of Client Relations for a
Pittsburgh-base communications firm and has held several senior level positions
in the field of arena marketing and management - most notably with the
Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers and at Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena.
Mr. Amond earned a Bachelors degree in Communication from Slippery Rock
University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hill
University.
Debbie Iszauk joined
the staff of the Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce in January of 2006 as the
Director of Membership Services. In this position, Ms. Iszauk works closely with
current members to make certain that they are aware of and are taking advantage
of the Chamber’s extensive membership events and benefits. As Director of
Membership, Ms. Iszauk works actively throughout the Monroeville Area and
eastern suburbs to identify and recruit new businesses and organizational
partners that will further foster and strengthen the Chamber’s strong commitment
to economic vitality within our community. On an ongoing basis, Debbie is
actively involved with the Chamber’s networking group M.O.R.E., the marketing
and membership committees and the Chamber’s numerous special events.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Ms. Iszauk served as the Director of Development
at a private school in Pittsburgh where she was responsible for overseeing and
developing major fundraising events, donors and alumni projects. She was the
owner of iD marketing, a free-lance consulting business that provided
specialized advertising sales, marketing support and event planning to a wide
range of clients. Her background in working within both large and small business
environments has allowed her to gain insight and valuable experience in
developing strong client relationships.
Ms. Iszauk earned her Bachelors degree in Marketing and Management from Ohio
State University and an advanced certificate in Education from the University of
Pittsburgh.
Christine Schnelbach
was hired as Bookkeeper of the Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce in February
of 2005, and promoted to Office Manager in August of 2007. Mrs. Schnelbach is
responsible for maintaining all of the financial records of the Chamber,
including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and all reporting functions, as
well as maintaining the membership database.
Mrs. Schnelbach brings a strong business and networking background with her.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with
concentrations in accounting and finance, from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania, Mrs. Schnelbach worked for eleven years as a National Bank
Examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. She then started her
own business, Wedding Weavers, a full-service bridal consultation and planning
firm, which she owned and operated for six years. During that time, she was
deeply involved in several networking organizations, serving as State
Coordinator of one, and Speakers' Bureau Chair of another. She also authored
major portions of a popular local wedding planner publication. After selling
Wedding Weavers, Mrs. Schnelbach worked for a local design firm which
specialized in window treatments. In addition to maintaining all accounting and
financial records, Mrs. Schnelbach acted as Project Manager for large health
care, commercial and hospitality clients, assisting in the design process and
implementation of the design.
Alison Cooley recently joined the staff of the Monroeville Area
Chamber of Commerce on February 1, 2010 as an Office Assistant.
Alison’s responsibilities include receptionist duties,
assisting the MACC President and staff, keeping the attendance lists
for events accurate and up-to-date, as well as, composing and
sending all e-mail correspondence.
Alison is looking forward to getting to know the Chamber
members, and she is focused on meeting their needs.
