Monroeville ChamberMonroeville offers plenty of recreational, historical, and cultural activities either within the municipality or in the nearby areas. Through local government, citizens have invested in the area’s parks and recreational facilities, as well as managing several historic sites. Today the municipality boasts more than 850 acres of parkland and a complete offering of year round recreational programs. Since 1965 when the Recreation and Parks Department was established, twenty-one municipal parks have been acquired. From sunrise to sunset, you can enjoy any of these parks, sixteen of which have been developed with such amenities as pavilions, rest rooms, playing fields and courts, playgrounds, nature trails and a swimming pool.

A new Monroeville community park opened in 2006 on 117 acres of land off of Tilbrook Road and sits not more than 3 miles from any point in Monroeville. The Park has many unique features including a botanical garden, bocce courts, sand volleyball courts and much more.
